If you posted a rascist/cultural appropriation photo and then said “I do what I want, stop whining” of COURSE people are going to attack you for your behaviour and label you as such. It’s very important that we all, this goes for everyone of all nationalities, to learn how to be respectful of other cultures. When someone corrects you, instead of defending your right to do whatever it is you did, say “I apologize, thank you for pointing this out, I will learn more on this to do better in the future.”
I see it time and time again on Tumblr, people likw the OP whining about how they were called out on their ignorant behaviour and trying to defend it, which only digs the hole deeper; furthur painting you as an ignorant butt. There are even more who will say “Oh stop your whining!”
No. It’s not “whining”, it’s spreading knowledge of being a respectful person. It’s saying, “I don’t really appreciate how you’re treating people of my nationality/culture/religion, I’m going to educate you on it but the rest is up to you.”
The first thing you do when called out is apologize, and learn more.
